ALASKA AIRLINES

About Alaska

The organization was conceived in 1932 when Linious "Mac" McGee began flying his three-traveler Stinson from Anchorage to Bristol Bay. After two years, McGee Airways merged with Star Air Service and turned into the biggest airline in the state, with 22 planes. After one more decade, and a few more mergers, the airlines found the name that stuck: Alaska Airlines.
